Eventful day here in little ole Hoboken. This town floods VERY easily and apparently this is the worst flooding since a Hurricane in 1999! On the wettest day of the year we also managed to have a 4 alarm fire just up the street. A lumber store went up in flames about 5 blocks up from us. The flames were so intense we could see them from our window!

It was a sad day for the Hobokenite Ellsworth’s: it was the day Matt lost his computer.
…to his son…
Yes. That is Colin—for the first time ever—sitting at the computer by himself playing his favorite “game” AlphaBaby. If you have a Mac (and a young child), I can’t recommend the software enough. It allows you to let your kid pound away on the keyboard without worrying about deleting, moving, changing, etc. any of your files. But it also let’s you child learn shapes and numbers while they press the various buttons on your keyboard. I love it, but more importantly, Colin loves it.
I’m curious if there is something similar on the PeeCee side of the fence, but since I don’t have one I’ve never bothered to look. Let us know if you can be bothered and if you come up with something. We end up showing lots of people AlphaBaby and they want it, but don’t have a Mac.

In keeping with how much we are enjoying and using our phat new camera, we are doing lots of video recording. And, in trying to keep up with how much certain people are asking us for new pictures, I’ve been collecting lots of stuff to post I just haven’t had time to do it. (If you think Colin is busy, you should see his poor parents!)
Anyway, this video features:

We could, perhaps, more appropriately entitle this post “Big Fun on Little Slide”…
In any event, Colin loves him some slide! These pictures/video were taken a weekend or two ago, but we just went to Liberty State Park today while the Realtors were showing people our house (which is weird, by the way) and went on a HUGE slide—so big, in fact, daddy had to ride with Colin to keep him safe. He loved it (!), despite being a tired crank most of the rest of the day since he got up at 6am and napped for all of 30 seconds.

Or, judging by his expression, perhaps it isn’t a good morning. At least not first thing.
