Colin is rapidly hitting the picky toddler phase of his life. Tonight one of the only things he would eat was rice, with his hands… As you can imagine it ended up getting pretty messy.
First we captured his joy while eating the food, next we captured the clean up.

Colin has been initiated into our crazy geeky world. For those interested the EXP listed is 0 (you can’t tell from the pictures).

(for the record, he was not posed for these pictures..)
This little boy has such amazing eyes!

Thanks to Olga, fellow WoW lover, who works at Yahoo! with Matt for the shirt!

I’m still amazed that Tuesday I could go outside without a jacket and Friday we had half a foot of snow.
I decided to bring Colin in his boots (thanks to Jake) outside to play a bit in the snow. I figured since he’s walking he wouldn’t get quite as wet and dirty. He LOVED it, although he did keep trying to sit down on it. Next year we will definitely be getting some snow pants.

Today marked a day of two big milestones for Colin.
His confidence has really been building with walking and today he walked up and down the aisle at the restaurant we ate at for lunch. He walked about 20 steps in a row without grabbing something for balance. We also managed to get a few of his steps on camera. I guess we have to say he’s walking, although he definitely still prefers crawling, particularly when he’s at home.
The other first was a haircut. Matt and I have been talking about this one for awhile. We had been holding off for some traditional photos on the Ellsworth side, but since those photos are probably a year and a half away we decided to bite the bullet. The curls were cute, but they were getting awfully girly and the new shorter cut is just adorable (and is still curly in the back)!
He did ok with the haircut. Hoboken Buzz Cuts has a special chair, toys, and a tv. They gave Colin several balloons, a certificate and a little squeezy toy. A few tears were shed but as you can see in the stroller picture afterwards he was as happy as can be (despite experiencing some of his worst teething yet today…)

…but sometimes you still gotta feel bad for the guy. I’m not sure too many other “leaders of the free world” have necessitated the spiritual cleansing of sacred sites merely by visiting them…

I’m trying to coin a new phrase, no more googling, the new thing is called yahoo-ing…
I decided to Yahoo my father, since it turns out he is actually on Wikipedia. Who knew my father was so active in the community, doing speaking engagements, etc.
For some reason I decided to Yahoo my maiden name and I came across this link. If you look at the bottom you will see a note about our wedding. I had no idea anything was ever printed into a newspaper, since I think I still have all the paperwork sitting around this condo somewhere (I’m a pack rat, I’m trying to get help).
I know I had previously Googled (in the pre yahoo days) Debra Ellsworth, but I don’t recall seeing that there were a couple other women named Debra Ellsworth. It’s very trippy to think there are other women with my exact same name.
I love that there are links to the real me as ad production contacts for both Dow Jones Online as well as SmartMoney, I wonder how long the SmartMoney link will stay up!

It is definitely different than food with flavor that “bursts in your mouth”…
