It’s your party…

Colin had a fabulous first birthday celebration. It started off with seeing family again (and in some cases meeting for the first time) and ended with an early bedtime thanks to all the excitement.

Here are a few selections from before the party, during the party, and as you can tell from the facial expression the end of the party.

Colin had an Eeyore themed birthday party. for some reason Winnie the Pooh decided to be an attention hog on Eeyore’s party decorations though.

Since Colin is such a big boy he got a big boy tricycle, which he just adored! Mommy and Daddy can push him around the town thanks to a handle bar and seatbelt.

Who knew my son wouldn’t like his cake. I chalk it up to a lot of excitement and a tummy full of lasagna. I have a feeling this won’t always be his reaction when faced with a mound of sugar. He didn’t eat any of it, only a small taste of the icing that mommy stuck in his mouth which resulted in this face.

He went straight to bed after the cake incident, we didn’t even get a chance to put on his pj’s.

Happy First Birthday Colin!!!

Colin is 1 year old today! My how time flies. Colin was born exactly one year ago from the time stamp of this post (yes, I cheated, but who cares, it will help us remember what time he was born).

We snapped some pictures of him opening his first present this morning. A dump truck from Cecelia’s Grandparent’s. The pictures don’t quite do justice of the joy in Colin’s face while he opened the present.

This is a picture I took this week while he was sleeping. Unrelated to his birthday, just plain funny in my opinion.

We will post pictures of him attacking his first birthday cake next week, as the party is in Michigan on Sunday.

Happy Halloween!

Ah Halloween…

Colin had fun, although Mommy wouldn’t know for sure because she only saw him awake for about 10 minutes the entire day! But we won’t focus on Mom’s trial and tribulations of the day in this post.

Colin and Cecilia spent the day with Michelle trick or treating up and down Washington Street (the main street in town) and watching the Ragamuffin parade of kids in their costumes.

The evening was spent with Colin retiring to sleep at 5:30pm (extremely early even for him), I guess the trick or treating really wore him out. After we helped hand out quite a bit of candy and watched Ceci run around in circles for awhile thanks to a little sugar high, we had a very nice dinner with Sandra, Charles and Cecilia .

Colin loved his Eeyore costume!

UPDATE: I’m sure you are all wondering. The costume Colin is wearing is for 2 year olds. Notice how well it fits? ACK!
