Well, tomorrow, or I suppose in 4 minutes or so, today we will be headed to Florida for our very first cruise!
We are really looking forward to this new experience and can’t wait to tell you all when we get back next Thursday.
Wish us luck and nice weather!

“Accept that some days you are the pigeon, and some days you are the statue.”
Methinks I’m the statue today—and not just because I am moving slowly after a long (and not yet over) week.
(I really liked your email, Mary Ann. Thanks!)

Drive carefully.
It isn’t only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

We just had our doctor’s appointment and got to hear the heartbeat again. Boy was it going pretty fast, anywhere from about 155 to 175! Seemed to normally sit in the 160s. Apparently anytime the heartrate goes up is when the baby moves, and did the baby moved several times while we were listening.
At the end of the month we are scheduled for a big anatomy survey ultrasound. That’s where we find out if the baby’s organs have all formed properly and of course where we get to learn the gender!
I did find out some bad news, apparently my blood pressure was a little high. I’ve always had great blood pressure so this was a bit of a surprise. I have to figure out how to cut back on one of my favorite things… SALT! Luckily I will have Matt watching everything I eat. ![]()

As pretty much everyone knows at this point because I’m unable to keep a secret we are expecting a new addition to our family in November! Matt and I are beside ourselves with excitement. We figured it was now time to document the baby by adding him/her to our blog.
We have two photos of the baby already. One from when we were 7 weeks pregnant and another when we were 9 weeks.
7 weeks:
9 weeks:
At 7 weeks the baby just looks like a little gummy bear (we circled the entire baby), at 9 weeks you can see the arms and legs which we have circled since understanding ultrasound photos is definitely an art.
We heard the heartbeat at our 11 week appointment and expect to hear it again tomorrow at our 15 week appointment. Maybe we will even get another photo of the baby and if we are really lucky we will find out the sex!
We will keep you up to date!
