No Wonder I’m an Idiot

Deb sent me this article; definitively proving why I am such an idiot. (Hint—it isn’t the pot part of this article.)

It does make some interesting points about feeling “tired and lethargic” from being constantly interrupted—I can see that. Since reading the article, I’ve tried to be very conscious about not interrupting my workflow each time I hear the new email chime and I have increased my productivity twelve-fold. Okay, not really, but it has seemed to have an impact.

Also interesting to me that this research was sponsored by HP, which has long touted it “always on internet infrastructure;” I wonder if the gentleman who signed that research check still has a job…

Almost a Scorcher

I was realizing I haven’t posted in ages.

In trying to come up with something to write about the best idea I had was how hot it was outside today! It was a high of 87 and I walked around outside in a short sleeve shirt and flip flops.

Poor Matt had to walk around in a black suit.

I suppose that’s not as exciting as lard though…

There might be something to that… You just never know. I mean Grandpa Brown was pretty chipper (when he wasn’t leering at the nurses) and he used to eat lard sandwiches during the Great Depression.

Something You Don’t See Everyday

Or, I guess you might be able to call this post: “Only in New York”…

Anyway, I was walking home from work on Friday and saw a gentleman vacuuming the sidewalk in front of one of the hotels just down the street from where Deb and I live.

I had never seen that before.
