There might be something to that… You just never know. I mean Grandpa Brown was pretty chipper (when he wasn’t leering at the nurses) and he used to eat lard sandwiches during the Great Depression.

I may just give it a try.

Let me be the first to say, ewww, that’s really gross.

The bottom of the poster says that the information is brought to you by the “Lard Information Council.” In the world of abbreviations, that is L.I.C. I second the ewww.

I used to eat lard most days. My momma would cook chips (fries) in a huge frying pan - the lard would stay in the pan, and solidify overnight, and then be re-heated and used the next day for more lovely, beef tasting chips! Yum!!!!!

Stephen (obviously not Meg, whose mother cooked in pure Eaton Rapids mineral water!)

If bacon grease qualifies as lard, which I admit I don’t know, it was pretty good for doing popcorn in, before microwave. But as for lard sandwiches, I think that would *cause* a depression.
