Long Time No Update

Tuesday | December 14, 2004

General

Well, it’s been a long time since our last update, and I actually have a couple different things to mention.

First, we are headed to Eaton Rapids, MI for the holidays on Thursday. We are driving in our little Convertible Beetle and we are bringing the cats with us! It will be a 10.5 hour drive. We can’t wait to spend some quality time as a family in the car. Wish us luck!

Second, I found that after my radioactive iodine therapy for my thyroid I became very rapidly hypothyroid, which has the opposite symptoms of hyperthyroid. I ended up being really tired, I managed to sleep in past Matt on the weekends which is pretty much unheard of. I am already on my thyroid hormone replacement pills, so I am finally on my way towards normal. And by normal I mean purely in the thyroid hormone level way…

Third, I have made the decision to leave my job at Event 360 so that I can pursue a career in Nursing. I am really excited about the adventure I have decided to set out on. I am in the process of researching Nursing programs at the local colleges. I know, I know, I said I would NEVER go back to school, but I really couldn’t be more excited about this decision. In fact I am super impatient and want to get started NOW!

That is really about it for now.

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

Deb, this is a MAJOR update! How do you feel about chemistry, sick people, biology, and being on your feet? That’s just my quick and incomplete list. If you are following your heart in this, I think you will be great at it. How long is the schooling? OK, enough questions from me.

I will be seeing you (Oh, yes, and Matt too) THIS WEEK! How many cats does it take to fill a VW? Probably two is enough. Two *are* enough? Two cats be ’nuff.

    I go quietly now.

As you know, Deb I have hypothyroid also. Once it is regulated you feel so much better. The Nurse Deb idea is fantastic! I don’t know why exactly, but I really think you will find it to your liking. Have a great holiday in Michigan.

I can answer the question on how many cats it takes to fill a VW. Only one, he/she will take the palce over. Any more is just extra weight and fur!!

Good Luck Deb on the Nursing plan. I do believe it best to do what you want. You will do better at it and give back more to the rest of humanity.

Again, nothing from those two for several days, but this time . . . this time . . . we have had the REAL PEOPLE, Debra and Matthew, in the area! I have enjoyed their company a lot!

By the way, after driving here in their VW, Matt pronounced our Chevy Cavalier as “cavernous”! Well, I hadn’t thought of it that way, but sure, why not?

Variable results from past tests indicate I *might* be marginally hypothyroid, but I have had nowhere near the dramatic swings you’ve had, Debra. But I at least get in on the discussion, however feebly.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
