The answer is quite simple… They all play at the Roseland which is just down the street from us. We had no idea we were moving in so close to what is evidently a major music venue here in New York City. You’ll have to tell us if you’ve heard of it—we certainly hadn’t.
Which, incidentally, is the worst website in the world.
In any event, we’ve had some random evenings coming home to find our street literally mobbed from people trying to either catch glimpses of the “celebrities” (I feel like I have to put that in quotes since I have a hard time ackownleding that the crazies playing this evening—Megadeth—are celebrated by anyone, anywhere). Debra actually looked out our living room window to watch Eminem (in a suit!) drive by sitting in a convertible on his way to the screaming throngs.
Random.

Roseland Ballroom? I think it might have been mentioned in some Ken Burns special — whether New York or Jazz I don’t remember. That’s about it.
Ooh, Michigan celebrity? Was the movie titled Eight Mile or Eight Mile Road? Anyway, in TV glimpses he never looked suit-able, or should I say suit-friendly. Other than that, I don’t think he and I have a lot in common, but I could be wrong.
I think I have heard Marc Anthony in one song, nice voice I thought.
All I know of Megadeth is just an offputting name that’s been around for years.
Hey, you two are good-looking; might you get mistaken for “celebrities” someday?

Hey! I actually like some of Eminem’s stuff (it can be thoughtful—if somewhat homophobic—social commentary). That, along with my predisposition against old-time heavy metal like Megazdeth still put me squarely in the “young” demographic. Sadly, the fact that I’ve only heard one or two of Marc Anthony’s songs probably excludes me from the “cosmopolitan” demographic, though.
