Chips
Colin saw a bag of pita chips I was eating while nursing Hannah (she doesn’t let me sit down and eat very often, so I have been eating portable food lately) and he asked to have some. Being a tired mommy I just handed him the bag. He started munching on them and then a few minutes later gave me back the bag, I didn’t think much of it until he started walking around with a little plastic bowl of chips.
He had found a bowl, who knows where and whether it was clean, put a handful of chips inside it and gave me back the bag. He did for himself what I should have done for him. He’s a great little boy.
However, we are going on day 5 of the Nap Strike of ’08. We are in negotiations to end it soon, wish us luck.
He is something else, isn’t he?
I don’t think that your child is going to be scarred by having to get himself a dish. Sheesh, just the fact that the GOT a dish for himself, without being prompted? Wow. And didn’t just sit and snarf down the whole bag of chips?
Good luck on the napping thing. I was very sad when Will and Joe stopped taking naps.
Nap? What’s a nap?
