Today marked a day of two big milestones for Colin.
His confidence has really been building with walking and today he walked up and down the aisle at the restaurant we ate at for lunch. He walked about 20 steps in a row without grabbing something for balance. We also managed to get a few of his steps on camera. I guess we have to say he’s walking, although he definitely still prefers crawling, particularly when he’s at home.
The other first was a haircut. Matt and I have been talking about this one for awhile. We had been holding off for some traditional photos on the Ellsworth side, but since those photos are probably a year and a half away we decided to bite the bullet. The curls were cute, but they were getting awfully girly and the new shorter cut is just adorable (and is still curly in the back)!
He did ok with the haircut. Hoboken Buzz Cuts has a special chair, toys, and a tv. They gave Colin several balloons, a certificate and a little squeezy toy. A few tears were shed but as you can see in the stroller picture afterwards he was as happy as can be (despite experiencing some of his worst teething yet today…)

Yeah for Colin! He looks so cute walking and with his new ‘do. Give him a hug for us!
Mom’s going to go see his Colin’s newest cousin (2nd cousin?) Maddux tomorrow. I’ll go later this week. I almost got him a small Eeyore at Target (like Colin’s…) but went with Pooh instead, mostly because the outfit I got him has Pooh on it….

Oh my gosh! Cousins Colin and Jake look even more alike now! I wonder if that will change again when Jake gets his first haircut.

Dazzling commentary maybe later. For now, I’m just smiling.

Hooray for the haircut!
Very handsome.

He looks great! I hadn’t realized how much hair he had. I have to agree with Grandma E that he and Jake look even more alike! It’s rough when so much cuteness runs in one family.

Well, I can’t say anything that the other comments haven’t already covered… he is so cute!
Glad it went pretty well and there weren’t too many tears shed!

Wow, pretty exciting; hopefully we can see it in person soon!! I was just asking Wendy about this last night, but I should have checked here first. Or maybe it was just the helium in the balloons that was helping hold him up…

OK, I guess my comment didn’t take (or you deleted it, hmm…). Anyway, congratulations to Colin on the walking thing!!

We actually have to moderate comments for those that aren’t logged into the site without an account. We have been hit by spammers on several occasions.
I accidentally marked Joe’s first comment as spam though, SORRY!
Here it is:

What’s that on Debra’s left hand in the walking video? I can’t decide if it is an oven glove or some kind of support for Debra’s wrist/hand. And if it is a support - What happened Deb?

Judy, I just looked at the video a couple times and I don’t see anything on either one of my hands…
Regardless, I’m fine!

That’s the second (at least) certificate he’s gotten, right? I think the first was for his first airplane ride? Make sure he doesn’t try to use all these to get a job in a few years though…
