If Abby had been there she would have had that Veggie Tales DVD out of Colin’s hand and into the DVD player faster than you can say Norovirus. Although she did get one herself.

Some of this was new to me, and I *live* here! Maybe I should have been up a little earlier Christmas morning. What am I saying? I *was* up at 3 a.m. — it was 8 a.m. I had trouble with.

It was an amazingly rich week in my life — three sons in the area, with the people who matter most to them. People calling me Grandpa all over the place — including my wife, but so far, only when a grandchild is present.

And now, I just sat here for about five minutes reflecting on that time, not knowing what to say, because no words are enough.
