30-for-30; Some Consolation

Monday | January 1, 2007

General

So Debra’s consolation for hitting the little 3-0 was to receive a very cool and creative 30-for-30 parcel from her mom and sister. They spent quite a bit of time amassing a collection of 30 goodies to celebrate Deb’s 30th birthday. They went so far as to even put 30 candies in several of the breast-related (ask Deb) objects. And, no, neither Deb nor I were observant enough to notice that (I’ll say it is because it was breast-related, not sure what Deb’s excuse is)… they had to point it out for us.

In any event, I’m sure the pictures make it clear she got some cool stuff and she was very excited about it!

Thanks Mary Ann & Suzanne!

Only one of the objects was breast-related. And it is displayed quite prominently in the top photo — do you think Deb will actually carry that purse in public??

And yes, it did have 30 candies in it.

The other item was a tin that says something about it’s hard to have a bad day with a mouthful of candy — and yes, it also had 30 candies. I think it’s funny that neither of you noticed that!

Matt didn’t post any of the pictures that show the box — I wrote 30 all over the outside of the box, too.

We sure had fun putting it together!

That’s a spectacular collection. Besides being a one-box gift *shower* for Deb, it’s a reminder that she comes from a remarkable family.

That is such a wonderful idea! :)
