Colin had a fabulous first birthday celebration. It started off with seeing family again (and in some cases meeting for the first time) and ended with an early bedtime thanks to all the excitement.
Here are a few selections from before the party, during the party, and as you can tell from the facial expression the end of the party.
Colin had an Eeyore themed birthday party. for some reason Winnie the Pooh decided to be an attention hog on Eeyore’s party decorations though.
Since Colin is such a big boy he got a big boy tricycle, which he just adored! Mommy and Daddy can push him around the town thanks to a handle bar and seatbelt.
Who knew my son wouldn’t like his cake. I chalk it up to a lot of excitement and a tummy full of lasagna. I have a feeling this won’t always be his reaction when faced with a mound of sugar. He didn’t eat any of it, only a small taste of the icing that mommy stuck in his mouth which resulted in this face.
He went straight to bed after the cake incident, we didn’t even get a chance to put on his pj’s.

Look at the big kid on the trike! Surely that can’t be our baby, Colin!!! What a sweetheart, even when he is grimacing at the cake. I’m sure that was fluke!

The cake business was UN-like Colin at most every other time. Usually, he is amazingly happy, including the rest of his party. It was a pleasure having him here as a new one-year-old, exploring and smiling.

Ha! Now I don’t feel guilty for not updating my site because I see you haven’t done any updates since November 20th!

And, as I said before… so, so cute that boy of yours is!
He will start liking cake, too.. someday. Then you will tell him he can’t have it because it is junk food and he needs to eat something good first! lol
