I have to compliment Will & Joe on doing a good job all week of humoring Uncle Matt and Aunt Debra. Nowhere is it clearer than in this picture. I just love it. They’re being so good to “put their arms” around Colin like the photographer had requested. I think it is so funny, despite their probable disinterest in being photographed (yet again).
I think the disinterest in the whole affair was evident on both sides. Look at the series below—Colin liked his cousins well enough, but they moved around and made noises he wasn’t used to. But Aunt Suzy’s quilts were the same as always: beautiful, cozy, comfy, and interesting. He’s got a great one we blogged about earlier from Aunt Suzy, but this Ladybug quilt was another favorite. He loved looking at it and fingering the beads and buttons on it.

They weren’t so sure about Colin during the first part of the week, but I think they ended up enjoying having him around (a little…). They actually did play with Colin without being “forced” to do so while his parents were off cavorting in Colorado.
I think that the ones that miss him the most are Katie and Toby. The dogs surely liked it when Colin ate Cheerios….or should I say, when Colin threw Cheerios on the ground for the doggies to eat….

I love the picture with cheek on quilt and Grandma R in the bachground. It really looks as if Colin loves this quilt.

Seconding my wife’s comment, “cheek on quilt”, but a nice series overall. I hope to trade smiles with Colin soon.
The twins seem like genuine American boys, and I hope to see them somehow, someday, again. I’m glad they could be good company to Colin. Eventually, I guess, they will have to teach him some tricks his mother wouldn’t approve of — isn’t that how it’s supposed to be?
The quilts continue to be a visual delight.
