Home sweet home…
At the risk of tempting fate, Debra and I will be homeowners (condoowners?) after a 2pm closing this coming Thursday, September 15th! It has been every bit as… “exciting”… as we’d heard it would be. Right down to the last minute phone calls early in the week from people telling us we might have to delay closing because this detail or that document weren’t in perfect order. What fun!
Come on in…

We’re pretty happy about the kitchen—especially after having survived the cramped kitchen that was our New York City apartment. You can also just make out the wine refrigerator under the counter in the second photo (now if only Debra liked white wine…).

The couple living there before us had a little baby girl in the second bedroom. However, they had for some reason chosen a deep blue rug—perfect!

Mommy & daddy aren’t so thrilled with the color of the master bedroom, but that can always be changed (later). We are, however, thrilled with the double vanity and walk-in shower in the main bathroom. Colin’s bathroom (not shown) has a tub for his splashing pleasure.

Matt, I note that you are up late, based on the time of this blog entry. That will change shortly, then again, after that midnight feeding, you will be awake and doing more computer work.
The Condo looks great, we saw the outside and want to see the inside. And for the uninformed, Matt and Deb will have their car in a garage at the condo and not a parking garage that is a block away and requires calling ahead… planning… to use it.
Good Luck in the new Castle!!
Dad

Congratulations! I love condo’s and yours looks neat!
I clicked on the diagram and it got larger, but the pictures didn’t. Is that just my problem or did others notice that as well?
Can’t wait to come visit (I think….NYC is a bit scary to me)
Love,
Aunt Rosie

Hehe. You clicked on the only one that has a larger version. You can tell if you can click on something since your mouse pointer will “change” if you are over a clickable link. Sometimes a photo is just a photo. They’re so small because we didn’t take them—I downloaded them from the real estate website that was selling the condo…
And about visiting: we’re not in NYC anymore! That’s part of why we bought this condo in Hoboken. Deb is willing to drive over there whereas I have yet to get her to drive in the city proper.

Hey you two (soon to be three!)! We checked out your new home last night on google earth (thanks for the tip by the way). It looks great! There seems to be a cool garden in the back, with what looks like a play area and some trees. Do you have the use of it?
When do you move in?
